Another day

It's just been one of those days today. Crabby, uncooperative child and craziness... Kamalee hasn't been participating in her therapies very well lately or listening. So it's hard to get things done. She is one stubborn little girl! On the good note though, I think she may be somewhat healthy again, after a month. (KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!) She still has cracked lips from cold sores but look 10x better that 2 weeks ago. Hopefully, we will stay healthy for a good stretch of time now. It's been one thing after the other lately.

Last week, we tried to video Kam at tumbling but she didn't feel good so she didn't cooperate very well and ... we probably should have tried our new video camera first. lol. We didn't completely know how to run it so we have about 10- 10 second videos instead of one continuous one. So sorry to those I promised....we will get you a video sometime though! :)

In some exciting news, Donna and I have teamed together for a Couture Photo Shoot. Check it out and refer anyone you know! (p.s....this was on FB for 10 minutes and we already have 3 bookings, so spots are gonna fill fast)

Tumble Time

Tonight, Kamalee had her first night of toddler tumbling class....let me just say... ADORABLE!!!! Omgosh, she had a blast. When it was time to go she didn't want to leave. I probably wouldn't have spent the money for this, but we have one program that will pay for a portion of it. Which I just found out today that we really aren't supposed to be on (another long story) so I figured we might as well use it while we can! It was a 40 min class. We started with bars. She couldn't do one that had a swing underneath very well, just due to the fact that her arms barely reached. But the one where she had to put her tummy on it, tuck her head, and flip to a mat, she loved! I couldn't believe she caught on to tuck under her head by the 2nd attempt. (especially since some other kids still didn't do that and they have been taking the class for awhile). She also did the big tramp and jumped in the pit of cubes. We did two different obstacle courses with different tasks. I was very impressed, she tried to copy everything and picked up a ton of it the first time. Can't wait til next week!

Rewind: END of October, Halloween

This year, we dressed up and went to a Halloween party at my sister's. I had a list of couples that we could be and of course Justin picks the Simpson's. Thought it would be easy, but boy we sure were cute ... something.

This is the cousins/brother/sisters that were there.
LtoR: Randy, Donna, Trish, Becky, Lisa, Amy, Tara, Kevin
Aren't we hot?!

Just the sisters, minus 1.

My Halloween Cake. I don't think anyone knew it was food...

Me and my Homie!

Sadly, Kamalee was puking and running a temp on Halloween, so she didn't even get to put her costume on! :( I think I was more sad than her. But a few nights before we carved pumpkins at J's mom's house....She did get to do that watch that. She didn't want to come anywhere near touching that stuff.

Rewind: Beginning of October

ok, so things didn't go in order but you'll get the drift. this is before supper one night. our living room of our room.
The beginning days of October, Justin and I were lucky enough to take a trip to Cancun! What a blast. We originally wanted to go with a group of friends, but life changed our plans and we ended up with a second honeymoon. Which that was ok too. We had a great time. We really missed Kamalee and checked in everyday. Thank goodness there was no extra charge for texting in Mexico. I think she had as much fun as us. I never got a bad report once, so that was a mind-easing. Our flight there went smoothly. But the one on the way back was late and the attendant in Mexico switched our flight and we made our original one. Long story short, he screwed up and our bags didn't arrive for 3 hours after we did. Luckily, being his fault they mailed them the next day to Watertown so we could hit the road for home.

We took an excursion one day and did a zip line (where you climb many flights of stairs and glide down a cable, through the forest hooked to a harness and land at another set of stairs, go up and do again. what a rush!!!), rappelled (which we climbed more stairs and the did the 'backwords rock climbing' to get down to the ground again), and swam in a cave and snorkeled to see stalagmites. very cool until I saw the bats. talk about panic attack in a cave and under water!). Her is me about to do the rapelle.
and Justin
us right before everything. the get up scared me a bit.
this is a banana tree in our resort. had to take a pic for my uncle who has had one in his house for a few years and it is yet to get bananas. I asked our guide there, and he doesn't think he will ever get one. Well, will let him keep hoping! :)
Another night before supper
The pool of our resort
and another shot
This little guy had many friends all around, Justin would only get this close to take a picture. Notice, the coke comes in glass bottles.
Right outside our door every morning
Justin had octopus soup....he loved it! I found it a little creepy. Tomato soup with gushy stuff.
our first visit down to the ocean, on this trip

Another year....

Means another chance, right?! I had lost track on this thing I call blogging. Due to the lack of faith that I had, that anyone out there was reading! Little did I know, people missed me. :) So here I am, again, ready to get on track for 2011. This is my little family on Christmas this year. Kamalee is now 2 (as you have learned for the past 3 months from my last post, since it never changed :)

Most recent news, Kamalee will be starting a toddler and parent tumbling class on Tuesday. She has no idea what is in store for her, but I am beyond excited. Tomorrow, we go leotard shopping!!! She is gonna be the cutest little tumbler ever. Since, she isn't old enough to have her neck checked yet, she is not allowed to attempt somersaults or anything, but can still play and do most of the other activities. Once she is 3 we can check out her neck, and if everything is good there, we may keep this a permanent 'sport' for her. She is very flexible and full of energy, so I think she is gonna love this. I will take a video of her for all to see.

Keep watching for that!
